Auction Catalog

From the Online Auctions link click on either Auction Details to find the specific details of the sale or click on Place Bid/View Lots to go to the Auction Catalog to view all the lots in the auction. The Auction Catalog page can be sorted in several ways by clicking on the Column header, ie., Lot Information, Storage Location, High Bidder, Current Bid or Time Left etc. In the Lot Information column click on Bid Now/More Info. to go to Lot Details.

Search

If you want to search for a particular item, use Search. A list of matching items will appear. Click on an item that interests you to get more information about that item.

Register to Bid

You need to have your Registration approved by us before you can bid on any online auctions. Click on Register to Bid at the top of the page to Register. If there is a bid deposit requirement to participate in the auction, please send us the cashier's check and bid form per the lot description. If there is no bid deposit requirement, please send us an email to service@cwsmarketing.com requesting to be approved for the specific sale you are interested. We will send you an email letting you know you have been approved for the sale.

To bid on an auction item, you need to login by entering your username and password.

Forgot Password

If you have forgotten your password, enter either your email address or username to have your password sent to you by email.

Placing a bid

After login you may place either your Bid Amount or an Auto Bid. On receiving a bid, the system first checks whether your bid is higher than the last recorded "winning bid" - if so, the system will normally record you as the current "winning bidder" provided there are no earlier Auto Bids equal to or greater than your bid. Where two or more Auto Bids have the same maximum (equal to or greater than any single bid), the earliest Auto Bid will be the "winning bid".

Auto Bid

The Auto Bid feature allows you to place a maximum bid on an item and will automatically adjust your bid to the next winning bid amount when you have been outbid by another member. The amount of your maximum bid will be kept secret from all other members.

Being outbid

If you have been out bid you will receive an email named "You have been outbid". The email will contain the lot number and the current high bid. If you still want the item, simply login to to place your bid.

Winning an Auction

If you have refreshed the screen and the bidding box is no longer available and you are shown as the winning bidder on the screen, then you have won. If you want further confirmation one way or another, you can check Your Account.

Your Watchlist

The Your Watchlist feature lets you keep a close eye on any lot without having to place a bid on it. You must log in to see this link. Go to the lot you are interested and click on "Add this item to my watch list". To view these lots (user must be logged in) click on Your Watchlist.

Your Account

You may keep track of your current bids, bids won and bid lost in Your Account. You must log in to see this link. Go to Your Account. This feature is handy for keeping track of winning and losing bids you have placed, how much you owe on a won auction etc.

Auction Overtime

If there is a bid within 10 minutes of the original provisional end time, the auction will be extended by 10 minutes from the original end time. If there is a bid in that new 10 minute window, then the auction will be extended to 10 minutes after the end of that window. It will continue to extend until there is no bid in a 10 minutes window - then it will close and no further bids will be accepted.

Updating Your Account

You may update your account email address, physical address and phone by going to Update Details. You must log in to see this link. You may update your password by going to Change Password

Inspections

Typically, bidders may attend a preview prior to the auction to physically inspect merchandise. Please check the auction lot description for details.
