HOW TO REGISTER:

This is an In-Person Auction with Online Simulcast Bidding Available: Auction participants can bid either in-person in Dayton, NJ OR online via simulcast bidding. See below for details on participating In-Person or online.

How To Register To Bid In-Person In Dayton, NJ:

  • Registration to bid In-Person is for those bidders who will be attending the live auction in Dayton, NJ.
  • REGISTER NOW by filling out the In-Person Registration / Photo ID Form.
  • After submitting the In-Person Bidding Form, on the day of the auction, please follow the signs to the Express Window and present your photo ID to receive your bidder paddle and catalog.
  • Registration to bid in-person is also available at the auction facility during the preview on March 7, or the day of the auction until 11am.

How To Register To Bid Online Via Simulcast:

  • Registration to participate in the auction via Simulcast is ONLY for those who will be participating online and WILL NOT be attending in-person at the auction in Dayton, NJ.
  • Participating via Simulcast requires participants to have an online bidding account set-up with CWS. For new participants to CWS auctions, an account can be set-up under Step #1 below.
  • A $5,000 credit card bid deposit is required to participate via simulcast bidding.
  • Complete Steps #1 & #2 below to participate online via live simulcast/internet bidding::
    1. Step #1 – On the Upcoming Auctions Page, select the “Register To Bid” button next to appropriate auction.
    2. Step #2 – Simulcast Bid Deposit / Photo ID Form and upload a copy of your Government-issued Photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport…). Submission of this form is required for all auctions regardless of prior participation.
  • Please allow up to 24 hours from the completion of Steps 1 & 2 for bidding approval
  • Registration for Simulcast Bidding ends 5:00pm ET, Tuesday, March 7.

Registration Inquiries:

Please Note:

  • Auction lots that do not meet their government established reserve will close showing “Ended” or “Passed” and will show the high bidder as being “Outbid” by the reserve. In this instance, the high bid will be sent to the government for approval. If approved, the high bidder will be sent a separate invoice for approved items. The government may take up to 72 hours to approve lots that did not meet reserve.
  • Final payment is due by cashier’s check, bank wire or credit card ($20,000 credit card limit for online purchase) within 48 hours of the close of sale for lots that meet reserve, and within 48 hours of notification for lots that didn’t meet reserve but are approved after the fact. Cash payments (exact payment only; change will not be given) are accepted only for in-person bidders at the sale facility.
  • Invoices for online bidders are emailed following the end of the auction.
  • All known information pertaining to the condition and description of the property has been posted on the website. The Government warrants to the original Purchaser that the property listed in the sales catalog for bids will conform to its description. Sale of property will not be cancelled due to bidder misunderstanding or failure to inspect property. The buyer understands and agrees that the property is purchased and accepted by buyer “AS IS,” and “WITH ALL FAULTS”, and that “All Sales Are Final”.

  • Final Payment by Friday, March 10, 3pm ET.
  • Cash: Exact change only
  • Credit Card: Maximum of $20,000 for simulcast bidders; Credit card must be in the name of the registered bidder
  • Bank Wire: No ACH; Wire must come from an account associated with the registered bidder
  • Cashier’s check: Made payable to U.S. Department of Treasury/Amentum Services Inc.
  • Removal must be completed within 7 business from date of sale for Domestic property, and 60 business days for Export Only property.
  • Removal is by appointment only and should be made by the Buyer with the storage vendor only after Buyer has received the necessary Property Release Document.
  • Contact information will be provided to the buyer upon payment in full.

Further, in the event of the occurrence of a technical problem during any bid in any auction, CWSAMS in its sole discretion reserves the right to declare an item sold, postpone or cancel the auction, extend the bidding time for this auction and/or re-list the property for auction at another date and time.
